About

Orrie Rindal is an actor, writer, director and producer originally from San Francisco, now based in Chicago. Their multifaceted talents and passions led them to pursuing a BFA in Comedy Arts at DePaul University (est. June 2026.) In their collegiate years, Orrie has flourished as an artist, working hard to sharpen their skills both on stage and behind the scenes. They can be found at The Annoyance, iO, Bughouse or hitting up bars in Boystown.

Orrie’s comedy is fearless, campy, queer, and sharply satirical—filthy in the best way and always with a purpose. Whether on stage improvising in character, writing sketch, directing theater, or performing as a Drag King, Orrie colors outside the lines—they treat genre like a costume: try it on, tear it up, remix it, and make it fabulous. Their work disorients, delights, and dares audiences to laugh at what’s taboo while thinking critically about what’s sacred.

They serve as producer, director, and host of Jules Astaire’s Variety Hour, a live drag and comedy showcase that mixes high camp with tight artistic direction. Orrie is known for their smart comedic voice, clear directorial vision, and deep respect for collaborative artistry. As a creative leader, they take an ensemble and community-led approach. Their ideal creative process is one that feels like a chosen family.

With an eye toward professional comedy institutions and beyond, Orrie brings discipline, originality, and a wicked sense of humor to every project. They’re not afraid to get dirty—or go deep. And yes, they believe it’s possible to laugh at buttholes and rage about politics to discomfort the comfortable and comfort the disturbed, sometimes in the same breath.
